The face behind Truly Events!

Hi, I’m Lilly! A Texas native who fell in love with a Kansas boy… and 54 days after getting engaged, we were married.

Yes, really.

People called me crazy (and I may have questioned it once or twice myself), but when I set my mind to something, I make it happen! Planning our wedding on that timeline could have been overwhelming, but instead, something unexpected happened.

I fell in love with the process.

The timelines.

The details.

The design decisions.

The way everything comes together to create a moment you’ll never forget.

For the first time, that phrase — “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life” — didn’t feel cliché. It felt possible.

After our wedding, I somehow became the unofficial (then very official) planner for my friends’ weddings and events. What started as helping the people I love quickly turned into something I couldn’t ignore.

Planning wasn’t just something I was good at, it was something that felt natural. Intentional. Purposeful.

After a lot of prayer, encouragement, and a few nudges I couldn’t shake, I realized this wasn’t random. It was a gift that I wanted to use.

So, why ‘Truly Events’

The name ‘Truly Events’ came to me in a dream!

I had been wrestling with what to call this business. Everything felt too niche, too trendy, or too surface-level. Nothing captured what I really cared about.

Because here’s the thing:

In a world where events can feel like they’re designed just for the photos… I care about how they feel.

I care about:
The joy.
The energy.
The meaning.
The moments your guests talk about for years.

“Truly” felt different.

Truly elegant.
Truly romantic.
Truly iconic.
Truly nostalgic.
Truly you.

That’s the kind of events I want to plan.
